In July 2022 I hiked to Emigrant Lake with my dad and his dog Tyler. It is a small lake, sitting right above Kirkwood ski resort and not far from Lake Tahoe. He had talked about taking me there for years. The trail was full of wonderful sights along the way. But the view of Emigrant lake absolutely stole the show.
